WHC offers free seminar about Chronic Disease Management
Woodland Healthcare is offering a free six-week course to help people cope with chronic diseases.
Chronic diseases – such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes – cause major limitations in daily living for almost one out of 10 Americans or 25 million people, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The six-week program will focus on goal setting and problem solving, nutrition, communication skills, relaxation techniques, medication usage, community resources and partnering with your doctor. Anyone living with a long-term health condition is welcome. Feel free to bring a family member, friend or caregiver.
